So, I really think I need someone to keep me on track with this whole blogging thing. I really do like to do it! I just don’t know what my problem has been lately! It has been so long I honestly have no idea what I last blogged about. Therefore, this could be excessively long but I will try not to let it be too long. Sorry this was written last week. Check back in a couple of days for another update!
May:
So what all did we do in May? Last time I blogged, we had just gotten back from Sheridan. The weather has been consistently great here. So we have been working on our yard trying to get it in shape and we spent an entire weekend in May getting everything ready for those few Spring showers. We took Parker to get his first professional hair cut. It was a a little emotional, but he did so well and had a lot of fun. He already needs a new haircut too! During Memorial Day weekend we ventured to Cheyenne for my cousin, Larissa’s high school graduation. My parents then came to Colorado Springs for the weekend. We went to Manitou that weekend and did a little big of exploring.
June:
Matt started a Biggest Loser competition at work where the biggest loser will win $70. Which, by the way he is doing fantastic he has lost 11+ pounds. Which is pretty insane considering all he did was stop drinking soda and works out a couple of times a week.
The first week in June, the Montgomerys came to visit. We had dinner with them every night and Parker and I met them at the zoo which turned into a soaking mess. It poured rain and hailed a few times when we were there. In fact we were trapped in the bear cave for a while, so we made sandwiches and had our lunch in there. Even though we totally got rained out it was still a lot of fun. I, also, had a small accident with my super expensive camera. I put a bottle of Coke in my diaper bag with my camera and it spilled on my camera and fried the circuit board. I was devastated! But, my parents were generous enough to pay for half of a new camera with a 4 year warranty!
The first weekend in June, my parents came down again. My mom and I had a date night! We went out to eat at PF Chang’s and then we went to the Carrie Underwood concert, which was amazing! Craig Morgan opened for her. It was just an awesome night with great company! Thanks Mom!
I joined a gym to get my butt in shape! I get up almost every morning at 5:45 and go to the gym. So far I have lost 5 pounds and it feels great!
Last weekend, we ventured to Cheyenne. Some good friends of ours are getting married in July and she had her bridal shower and bachelorette party this past weekend. The boys watched Parker and Sarah and I went and had a very good time! It was fabulous!
This weekend is Parker’s party and her turns 1 on Sunday! The party is ever expanding, so I am keeping super busy trying to get everything ready! It is pretty exhausting and sometimes overwhelming. I can’t believe my baby is about to 1!!!!
Parker:
What’s new with Parker? Well let’s see. He is taking about 10 steps at a time. It is insane, I feel like he is just going to take off running any day now! He is talking more and more. It doesn’t usually make sense, but it is pretty crazy! Parker has a lot of words now and after his birthday I will list all of them for you. I promise! He is learning to eat with utensils. He really works on it for a while. He can get the spoon to his mouth but is having trouble keeping things on it. He, eventually gives up and just goes for whatever with his hands. He definitely has his favorite foods which include bananas and mac’n cheese. But, he will pretty much eat anything and prefers to eat whatever we are eating. He is doing so well with Maya. He pets her so nicely. He really understands how to be gentle. I think, eventually, he will be a great big brother. (please note the “eventually”) He is a huge flirt and has no problem with strangers. He will smile and wave. He is just so curious about things. Of course, we think he is super smart. He has recently learned how to climb on top of things, like diaper boxes. He actually pushed a diaper box over to the gate and crawled on top of the box and stood up. He can get on and off of the box very easily. But I didn’t let him get any further after standing on it I took him down immediately because earlier that week he actually climbed the gate! Yes, hands and feet on the gate like a monkey! It was crazy and scared me half to death!

Well folks, I think that’s all for now! I have to get back to work! I will post after Parker’s party and doctor’s appointment on Monday! Please bear with my while I’m revamping our site! I have posted a lot of new pictures on the site, but I am having issues with the blog part of the site. So, check out all the pictures too! :)
