New post!

Really? Yes, really! I know it’s a pretty crazy thing to see a post from me! It has been crazy busy here for us. Since my last bog there has been a lot going on.
Let’s flash back to the end of June!
We had a great 1st birthday party for Parker. For those of you who couldn’t make it, we had an outside BBQ and everything was Elmo themed. I made homemade cupcakes for everyone and an Elmo cake for Parker. He was super polite with his cake and was barely messy at all! He opened his presents with the help of other kids that were there. It was just a very big success. Thank you everybody who came from near and far to be with us on this very special day. I plan on getting all the Thank You Cards out this weekend! Sorry, it’s taken so long. I haven’t forgotten, I promise.
For the 4th of July my parents came down and we took them to the Renaissance Festival, which was a lot of fun! Then, we had a small BBQ with some friends that are temporarily living in Co Springs.
A couple of weeks later, we headed to Cheyenne for a very big event. Some very good friends of ours, Mike & Sarah, were getting married. We got there on Friday to help with setting up and finishing projects. Saturday was the big day, I took Sarah to her appointments and tried to help out as much as possible. The wedding was absolutely beautiful and the reception was a blast. We had so much fun! On Sunday, we went to a “day after” BBQ and then headed home after being completely exhausted.
We hit up the zoo the following weekend while my parents were here and had a lot of fun. Parker LOVED it and wanted to walk all around the zoo.
The weekend before last we headed up to Sheridan for another weekend, but Parker had a different plan. He ended up with this horrible fever and we were really worried, but he didn’t have any other symptoms at all. His fever only lasted a few days and now he is perfectly fine!
Now, it’s all about Parker!!!! He is walking now and is on the verge of running. The whole walking thing started the day after his birthday and by the end of that week he was done with crawling. When we went to his 12 month checkup, we found out that he was a little under 20 pounds and was 31 inches tall! He is in the 95th percentile for height and 5th for his weight. He is going to be a tall and skinny little kid! Our doctor said he is super healthy and smart and is at the level of an 18 month old. Yes, I am bragging a bit but I’m a proud Mamma! He is talking so much and his vocab seems to be expanding daily. I am trying to teach him what animals say and it is going over very well! It is just so incredible to watch him learn! But, I will stop bragging now!
